Hilary Duff is going green for baby.

Hilary Duff and her husband, Mike Comrie, are expecting their first child, a baby boy, due in the spring.

The singer and former Lizzie McGuire actress, 24, was not only eager to find out the sex of her baby to get started shopping for baby clothes and pick out possible names, but shes already hard at work creating the babys nursery and shes being easy on the environment in the process.

According to Mother Nature Network, Duff recently revealed she is creating an eco-friendly nursery for her baby boy. The nursery features paint that emits less VOC gases and eco-friendly bedding. She says the nursery also features amazing animal wallpaper that features magnetic animals that can be moved around on the wall.

Hilary Duff, who, according to The Huffington Post, got in touch with nature during a trip to the park with her husband and dogs in Beverly Hills over the Thanksgiving holiday, has been keeping busy with more than just creating her green nursery before the arrival of her son. This fall she promoted her new book, Devoted, and has started singing again. She plans to make a musical comeback after the baby arrives.

"I'm taking vocal lessons again so he's listening all the time, but I don't know if he likes it," she said.

She adds that so far pregnancy has been quite easy. She has had no morning sickness and her cravings for spicy foods and chocolate milk arent too crazy.

"I've always b! een a pe pper belly but this is on a whole new level," she said. The other thing I'm loving is chocolate milk. I'm not mixing the two. But I heard pregnant women mix some crazy stuff."

Duff is due in March.
