Hilary Duff is excited about welcoming her first child with her husband Mike Comrie this spring, but the 24-year-old singer and actress admits shes a little worried about impending motherhood.
"Anything that's unknown is scary to us, and I'm definitely a little afraid, she reportedly told Celebuzz. It's not something you want to mess up and it's not something to take lightly.
She might fear the unknown, but shes very confident that she will be a good mother and her husband a good father.
Obviously I want to be really good at it. I think its the most important thing youll do in your entire life, but I have a feeling Mike and I will be okay. Well figure it out just like everyone else does.
Duff, who is expecting a baby boy, says despite motherhood worries, shes excited to be welcoming a boy into a family of mostly girls.
Its exciting, she said. I think deep down inside, I kind of wanted a little boy.
Duff who has said she and her husband often "daydream about what our future is going to be like" hopes the future doesnt include acting or sports for the baby boy.
"I think it's good they find something they like. You have to encourage them to keep at it," Duff said. "I would support him no matter what, but I wouldn't tell him to be an actor or hockey player. That would be really rough."
