The mom-to-be announced Wednesday that her beloved dog Lola, who fell ill before Christmas and underwent major surgery to treat a mystery condition, is recovering nicely.
"Update! Lola was having terrible seizures. She had a shunt put in her [skull] to drain fluid off her brain and now is doing great," she shared on Twitter, posting a photo of the 6-year-old Chihuahua looking well.
In December, Duff was spotted crying outside a veterinary office where Lola was being treated. "Could everyone please say a prayer for my pup Lola, she has surgery in a half hour!" she wrote at the time. "She's a strong girl but needs all good energy sent her way."
Lola was absent when Duff and husband Mike Comrie were spotted taking their pack to a dog run last month, but the singer let her fans know the pooch was just sitting that one out.
"She is recovering like a rock star," Duff who's expecting a baby boy in March shared. "So grateful."
