She might be on a mission to lose her baby weight at the gym.

But judging from the wriggling she would have had to do to get into her skinny jeans, Hilary Duff may have burned a few bonus calories while writhing on the floor.

The mother-of-one embraced her curves as she headed out with infant Luca in the figure-hugging baby blue denims.

She completed the outfit with a simple white T-shirt and a pair of Isabel Marant Bekket sneakers - which retail in the range of a cool $1000 and have a hidden wedge tucked inside them.

Despite the casual get-up, Hilary still injected a glamorous touch, wearing diamond studs and having her nails painted bright red.

And although the 24-year-old may have looked a little weary carrying the baby carrier around Los Angeles on Saturday, she was pleased to have some mother-son bonding to herself in the evening.

She tweeted: 'Just me and Luc tonight! I get selfish baby time!! #bestcuddlerever'.

Hilary welcomed firstborn Luca into the world back in March, and has made no secret of trying to shift her baby weight in order to regain her pre-pregnancy body.

She said: 'Obviously, I'm not where I want to be... but I'm working hard and I'm doing everything I can to lose the weight the right way.

'I'm breast-feeding, so you have to be careful and not do anything too drastic.'
