Hilary Duff says motherhood is easy, weight loss is hard

Hilary Duff gave birth to her son Luca Cruz five months ago and has already eased into the role of motherhood. But its the weight loss part that Duff says she struggles with the most.

Duff chatted with Parents magazine earlier this month where she dished on her post-baby and the ease with which she adjusted to her precious baby boy.

I dont have a lot of people my age who have babies. So Im at a totally different spot than a lot of my friends, Duff said. I dont really know what the alternative is. I do have a lot of energy, I feel great, and I had a really easy pregnancy.

According to People, Duff enjoys caring for her son so much that shes even willing to help other moms.

Ill step up to the plate when theres a screaming baby and he needs something. Its an automatic reaction: What?! Anything. Ill do it," she said.

The star, who shares her baby boy with husband and hockey star Mike Comrie, may have motherly duties down pat, but shes still learning to be patient with her weight loss struggles.

Duff calls mothers who look the same right after giving birth Kristin Cavallari for example - freaks of nature! She went on to clarify:

I dont know how that happens. Im not one of those people. It takes your body nine months to get there, really ten months. So Im trying to be patient, but Im working hard.

And as for the future, Duff hasnt completely ruled out the thought of more babies in the family.

I want to have more kids and Im looking forward to doing that, but Im not in any rush, Duff s! aid. I think sometimes maybe if you start a little later youre in a hurry to get all the kids you want, and I have a little time to spread that out.
