Hilary Duff has shared the first picture of her newborn son on twitter

Wrapped in a blanket and staring up at the camera, the wide-eyed tot is the first child for the former Lizzie McGuire star and her NFL player husband Mike Comrie who she married in August 2010.

Hilary first teased fans with a snap of two-week-old Lucas feet yesterday (03.04.12), with the caption My favourite little feet, and says she is managing to get into the swing of motherhood.

She tweeted: 1st outing complete with no tears! Made it home early...just in time to feed Luca. figuring this motherhood thing out! Yay! A grown up din;) (sic)

The actress has now set about getting back in shape and started with a haircut and trip to the gym on Sunday (01.04.12) after joking about her appearance in the final stages of pregnancy.

She wrote: You should have seen what I looked like last week. eek surprised I still have a husband! It was time to throw them heels on;) guurl (sic)
